We got 5 inches of snow last Saturday night, so we got out our ‘skinny skis’ and did a nice Nordic tour up on Pico Sunday morning. The snow was a little wet and packy, so perfect for a nice tour of moderate terrain, a short climb up to KA, and a fun straight run back down. We had a blast. It was awesome to be back on skis, without a lift, all by ourselves, just touring around….that’s my favorite! It couldn’t have been better!
We used our Madshus No Wax, Eon’s and Epoch skis, NNN BC boots and bindings… no muss, no fuss, nice and super lightweight and efficient. Cross country on the mountain… no lifts, no heavy equipment, just a walk in the park…
Here’s a picture of Pico and Killington today… up close you can see them cranking out the snow on the Glades!
The season has begun… PK is up there skiing his 2nd day on the mountain, lift access, as we speak. Yea!
